April 27, 2008 was our 1 year anniversary. To my surprise, we went to Hurricanes for dinner and then to the beach to watch the sunset - which is what we did the first time Matt told me he loved me! Matt was very calm so I did not suspect anything. Right as the sun was setting I was in the middle of telling Matt how much I love him and that I hope we had many more years together (perfect segway). He responded by saying, "hopefully forever" and he got down on his knee and asked me to marry him! and of course I said "YES!!!" I have never been happier!
